This painting from 1889 is called “Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh. The artist checked himself into an asylum and painted this all from memory. His behaviour was very erratic at the time. You can see that there’s so much emotional evidence in his tortured violent brush strokes. This is one of my favorite pieces of art.
